Mission Statement |
The
mission of the Iroquois School District Foundation is to enhance the educational
opportunities for all District students, Kindergarten through Grade 12. The Foundation
seeks to accomplish this purpose by developing imaginative and creative partnerships
with educators, with the financial support of alumni and friends.
|
| Purpose
of the Foundation |
| For
the past year, the District office has worked diligently to create a formal 501(c)3
non-profit charitable organization within the school system. The newly formed
Iroquois School District Foundation will allow more and varied funding to be sought
for special projects, curriculum and other needs. The Foundation opens the doorway
to funding such as: |
- Funds
for innovative projects that normally would not qualify for support
- Contributions
from private foundations and corporate donors who are unable to fund public
schools but can give to 501(c)3 organizations.
- Alumni
and community gifts that are fully tax deductible.
|
|
Efforts
are under way to secure local business support, alumni contributions and community
funds to maintain supplemental educational opportunities for District students.
The Foundation is managed by a dedicated board of directors from the community.
